Becoming a Driving Instructor:
Operating under the brand of Drive Hart, ‘Associate’ Instructors receive high quality, personalised support and mentoring from our A Graded Instructors, as well as administration and technical support, and importantly student referrals.
Drive Hart instructor careers operates a ‘pay as you train’ approach, with a published syllabus enabling you to track your progress. Both in car and in class sessions cover all the National Syllabus competencies, so you gain both the knowledge and confidence to deliver successful student lessons.
How do you become a driving instructor? Sarah Hart, Operations Director, is responsible for the selection of trainee candidates and can provide you with a 1 hour driving skills assessment and discuss your potential to become an instructor before you commit to the training.

I have passed all my part 1, 2 and 3 of DVSA exams first time and achieved A Grading in my part 3. I had my first ever standards check just before lockdown and again scored an A Grade. Thank you Sarah you are a consummate professional, with the same level of patience, particularly when coaching me on roundabouts!! Great results, great fun and a great Instructor/Mentor.
I have just acquired my pink licence and am working towards my ADI part 3 test with Drive Hart. I have received first class tuition, advice and support, but have also been given the flexibility and freedom to explore the most effective way of learning for me as an individual. I thoroughly recommend Drive Hart for its friendly, ethical and comprehensive approach to training in all of its many forms. Rob Thomas
Hi, I'm currently learning to become a PDI/ADI instructor.. Thankfully Sarah Hart Driving School was recommended to me by another driving school in September 2017. On first meeting Sarah, I knew instinctively that she was the positive, consummate professional I needed to do my PDI/ADI training with. I have found Drive Hart to be both highly supportive in every aspect of my learning and the set up they offer to everyone, is of no doubt in my mind the highest standard, with ADI's and students alike. I recently attended the first “Sharpening the sword” training day organised by Drive Hart. I found it to be very well organised, extremely helpful and informative and I would definitely recommend any future training days to any ADI/PDI.
As a fairly new ADI, I found the sharpening the sword seminar a fun and informative learning experience. I enjoyed being involved rather than just the usual sat listening. It has prepared me a little more for my standards check and I now have some fresh coaching ideas. It was also a good opportunity to meet other ADI's. Thanks for organising.

Sarah is a wonderful teacher. Clear, concise, patient, and empathetic, Sarah gave me refresher lessons at a time my confidence with driving was at rock bottom. After a few weeks, my confidence grew and Sarah was such great fun to be with that I really looked forward to each lesson. Now I am driving round in my own car again after a 15 year break.

Having written off a car the second time I practised driving, I came to Ed at Drive Hart, with little confidence after a number of lessons with other instructors. Ed is a brilliant teacher, so thorough, calm and friendly, and boosted my confidence to the point where I passed my driving test first time today! I would highly recommend Drive Hart for anyone I know looking for a driving instructor
I am a young student who was very determined to pass my test and I couldn’t thank anyone more than Ed Rose for doing so. What an absolute character, incredibly friendly and a brilliant instructor. I would definitely recommend Ed as he is very patient with your learning and he drives you to achieve your goal.
My son has just passed first time with Steve as his instructor. Highly recommended you guys are brilliant. After being ripped off by another local instructor I called Sarah and immediately she listened and sorted out some driving lessons with Steve. I really would not recommend anyone else. These guys are amazing, honest and trustworthy.

Sarah was fantastic! I passed my test the first time thanks to Sarah. She was incredibly patient and makes you feel comfortable in the driver's seat. She knows what she's doing and is very experienced. I highly recommend Sarah!!

Sarah is a great driving instructor. She is always patient and supportive which helped me to become a more confident and able driver. I’m sure without her my first time pass would not have been possible.

I had 8 hours of lessons with Sarah as she very kindly took me on as a student 3 weeks before my driving test. Those 8 hours were the best hours i had behind a wheel in-terms of learning experience's (driving techniques for parking and roundabouts) and actually enjoying driving. I passed my test with 4 minors :D. I could not ask for better instructor!

Sarah is an amazing teacher who without i doubt i would have passed my driving test anywhere nearly as quickly as i did, but also due to the fantastic patience she has, allowed me to pass first time, and she manages to do all of this whilst staying as one of the friendliest people I know!

Sarah is amazing! After a previous bad experience with another instructor, I was quite nervous for my first lesson, but Sarah is the type of person who can make you feel relaxed instantly. She has been an excellent teacher, and helped me pass my practical test first time and with only one minor. She also has a great sense of humour, which makes the whole experience of learning to drive a lot more fun. I'd recommend Sarah to absolutely everyone! She's the best!
Sarah is a fantastic driving instructor - she’s patient, kind and encouraging. When I started my lessons with her, I was an extremely nervous driver but she helped me grow my confidence and she taught me everything I needed to know to pass my test first time. Yes, 10/10. Sarah is always stretching my driving skills in lessons and is always easy to communicate with when planning for rearranging lessons etc.

Sarah is a brilliant instructor. I couldn't have felt better prepared for my test or to begin driving on my own. Her method of teaching is calm and therefore made learning to drive stress-free. Especially just before my test I had reassurance in knowing that having been taught by Sarah, I was completely ready and likely to pass first time! I did, and the vast number of students who also pass first time shows the quality of teaching. I'd recommend to anyone :))
