Our Refresher Course is a relaxed, one to one assessment with an experienced expert. Together, you’ll drive in your own vehicle, normally on roads familiar to you, unless you are particularly looking to gain experience after a recent move to the Salisbury area. At the end of the session will receive guidance on continuing to drive safely.
Whatever your age, Having your driving skills reviewed helps you to remain a responsible motorist, and is a great way to ensure that you and your passengers are safe. Even if you have always driven safely, our expert can make sure your skills are as sharp as ever.

Why take a refresher course?
Our course is for any mature drivers who feel that it is time to have their driving skills reviewed. The course is ideal for:
Grandparents who perhaps haven’t driven too much lately, but are finding themselves responsible for grandchildren, to ensure the safety of their loved ones when out on the road.
Nervous drivers who stopped driving a while ago, but need to start again and are looking for reassurance of their skills.
Drivers renewing their licence at 70 and over who are looking for an honest review.
What we can’t do
We are unable to offer the Mature Driver Review to anyone who has had their licence revoked or suspended, been advised to stop driving by their GP or other medical professional, or to anyone who is under investigation for a road traffic offence.
What to expect on a refresher course
You will train with one of our local experts. You will agree a meeting time and place to suit you, and you are welcome to bring a friend or family member along for support.
During your drive, the assessor will ask you to take a familiar route so that any advice given is tailored to your local area and driving style. If you are new to the area, your instructor will be sympathetic to your need to get to know the district.
After your review, you’ll receive verbal and written feedback to take away. You can then use this feedback to continue refining your skills.
