Welcome on board to our latest PDI Keenan Waters who is joining Drive Hart Auto Team this week.

Keenan will be initially working in the Salisbury, Amesbury, Larkhill and Bulford / Tidworth areas, but hopes also to do some cover in Stockbridge and Winchester areas.

Keenan has followed his brother Jamie into the world of driving instruction, but departing from his brothers lead, in that he has made his focus the delivery of Automatic lessons to learners and those who need UK licence conversions and confidence building.

His move to auto was also prompted by the rapid changes afoot as manufacturers stop making manual cars, and recognising that auto helps reduce our overall carbon footprint. The move towards automatic is now excellerating as we can see from increased tests and reduction in manual car production which can be seen in our recent extract from the DIA / DVSA article illustrates:

More learner drivers than ever before are choosing automatic vehicles for their driving exams, signalling the demise of the manual gearbox.
Official records show that the number of driving tests conducted only in automatic vehicles has reached a record high, with 324,000 tests conducted in automatic vehicles last year.
This was the largest number of automatic gearbox driving tests ever recorded, up 33% from 2022.
According to statistics released by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), tests conducted in automated vehicles accounted for over one-third of the 865,000 driver qualification checks conducted in the previous year.

Keenan’s chosen teaching car is a smart new Auto Toyota Yaris X which gives learners plenty of room and excellent visibility during their lessons which can be seen below at Drive Hart HQ .
